Metal tube profile lengths will be fabricated with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in) to suit the project. To ensure good paint adhesion, any oil, dirt, or rust on the metal will be removed and the surface will be prepared with a phosphate coating that creates microscopic pores. After fabrication, the metal parts will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic paint and baked in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Wood Features: The wood material will be first‑grade yellow pine (Pinus sylvestris) lumber. Wood sections will be machined with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and wood dimensions with a tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). Required wood characteristics include: - Knots: up to four solid knots per meter, each knot’s diameter not exceeding one‑quarter of the total piece width; no rotten, split, partially fused, or fallen knots. - Cracks: no ring cracks; fine hairline cracks (1–2 mm (0-0.1 in)) are permissible, as are pressure‑treated head and foot cracks within tolerance limits. - Resin pockets: at most one resin pocket per meter, not longer than 10 cm (3.9 in); no leaking or pulling resin, no inner shell, rot holes, insect holes, or decay cavities. - Manufacturing defects: none, only deviations within the specified tolerances. - Bending: will not exceed 1/50 of the piece length. - Impact dents: will not exceed 1/100 of the piece width. - Twisting: will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter of length. - Flexural tolerance: between 1/50 and 1/100 of the piece length. - Sanding: all visible surfaces will be sanded smooth to remove splinters. Metal Supports: Support legs will be fabricated from electrostatic powder‑coated metal profile measuring at least 40 × 60 mm (1.6 x 2.4 in). Seating Unit: The seating unit is 40 cm (15.7 in) wide, 145 cm (57.1 in) long, and 45 cm (17.7 in) high. Its support members will be made from 40 × 60 mm (1.6 x 2.4 in) electrostatic powder‑coated metal profile. The seating unit will be attached with eight galvanized screws to 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in) wooden slats that are mounted on metal profiles. Table: The tabletop measures 72 × 145 cm (28.3 x 57.1 in) and is formed from 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in) wooden slats that have been pressure‑treated and shaped with diamond‑tipped blades to give an oval motif.
