Wood sections will be cut with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and wood dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). The wood material must meet the following criteria: - Knots: Up to 4 solid knots per meter may be present. Knot diameters will not exceed one‑quarter of the total piece width. No rot, decay, partially fused or fallen knots are allowed. - Cracks: No ring cracks are permitted. Microscopic cracks (1‑2 mm (0.1 in)) may occur. Head and foot cracks arising from pressure‑treated environments are allowed only within tolerance limits. - Resin pockets: Each meter may contain one resin pocket not longer than 10 cm (3.9 in). No leaking or pulling resin, no inner shell, no rot cavities, and no insect holes are allowed. - Manufacturing defects are not permitted; only deviations within the specified tolerances are acceptable. - Deflection: Deflection will not exceed 1/50 of the member length. Impact marks will not exceed 1/100 of the member width. - Twist: For each meter of length, twist will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in). - Bending to the knife edge: Deflection will be tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the member length. - Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth to remove splinters. Main Supports: Support legs will be fabricated from eight pieces of pine lumber, each at least 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in), cut with diamond‑tipped special blades and given a motif. The height of the support legs will be 240 cm (94.5 in). Roof: The roof’s supporting slats will be made from 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) wood. Two corners of each slat will be shaped on a router. The tops of the slats will be fastened with wooden tongue‑and‑groove boards or fiber material. Tarred membranes will be installed on the boards with wide‑head special nails, and the roof will be covered with American cedar‑shingle roofing material. On the eave board, slats of at least 30 × 130 mm (1.2 x 5.1 in), cut with diamond‑tipped special blades and given a motif, will be attached to the roof slats with galvanized wood screws. For the roof connection, eight slats of at least 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in), each end cut at specific angles and shaped with diamond‑tipped special blades, will form the roof frame—one end attached to the main support, the other to the eave board. All fixed connections will be made with stainless‑steel wood screws, while galvanized wood screws will be used for the main‑support‑to‑roof connections. Pigeon Loft: The pigeon loft height is 450 mm (17.7 in). Roof slats are made from 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) wood. Between the upper and lower 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) wood members, 30 mm (1.2 in) apart, 30 × 15 mm (1.2 x 0.6 in) wooden battens will be installed. The slats will be secured with wooden laths, tarred membranes, and wide‑head special nails, then covered with the same shingle roofing material. The eave board will use 90 × 20 mm (3.5 x 0.8 in) wood, shaped with a diamond‑tipped special motif blade. Upper Panels: Upper railings are 40 cm (15.7 in) wide. Railing frames are made from 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) wood, sanded on all sides and edged with diamond‑tipped special blades. The frames will be mounted to the main supports with galvanized wood screws. Intermediate motifs are formed from 40 × 50 mm (1.6 x 2 in) wood cut with diamond‑tipped special motif blades and attached with galvanized screws. Lower Panels (Railing): Lower railing height is 75 cm (29.5 in). Railing frames are 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) wood, sanded on all sides and edged with diamond‑tipped special blades, and mounted to the main supports with galvanized wood screws. Intermediate motifs are 40 × 50 mm (1.6 x 2 in) wood cut with diamond‑tipped special motif blades and installed with galvanized screws and a clear special wood adhesive. Seating Unit: The seating unit uses eight minimum 4 × 9 cm (1.6 x 3.5 in) L‑shaped wood legs. One end of each leg is attached to the main support, the other to the seating slat. Four wood slats per side, shaped with diamond‑tipped special motif blades, will be secured with galvanized wood screws. Anchoring: Flanges of 18 × 13 × 3 mm (0.7 x 0.5 x 0.1 in) will be placed under the support legs, with a 15 × 8 × 2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) slot welded on top. Two anchor holes (13 × 8 × 3 mm (0.5 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plates) will be drilled, each plate receiving three 6 mm (0.2 in) screw holes.
