Wood sections will be fabricated with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). Required wood characteristics include: - Knots: Each meter may contain up to four sound knots. The total knot diameter will not exceed one‑quarter of the piece width. No rotten, split, partially fused, or fallen knots are allowed. - Cracks: No ring cracks. Microscopic cracks (1‑2 mm (0.1 in)) may be present. Pressure‑treated impregnation specifications may allow head and longitudinal cracks within tolerance limits. - Resin pockets: No longer than 10 cm (3.9 in) per meter, maximum one per meter. No leaking or pulling resin. No internal shell, rot cavities, or insect holes. - Manufacturing defects: None, only deviations within specified tolerances. - Bending: Deflection will not exceed 1/50 of the piece length. - Impact marks: Will not exceed 1/100 of the piece width. - Twisting: Will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter. - Bow: Tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the piece length. - Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth and coated with white lacquer paint. Primary Supports: Support legs will be fabricated from eight 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in) pine timbers, each machined with diamond‑tipped blades to add a motif. The support legs will be 240 cm (94.5 in) high. Roof: The gazebo’s roof bearing rafters will be made from 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) lumber. Two edges of each rafter will be routed for shaping. The rafters will be fastened with wood screws to either wooden siding or fiber material. Zinc‑plated nails with wide heads will attach zinc‑coated membrane to the siding, followed by American cedar‑shingle roofing material. At the eave, 30 × 130 mm (1.2 x 5.1 in) lumber with diamond‑tipped motifs will be mounted to the roof rafters using special galvanized wood screws. All fixed connections will use stainless‑grade wood screws; the main support‑to‑roof connections will use special galvanized wood screws. Lower Panels (Railings): The lower railing height is 75 cm (29.5 in). Railing frames are 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) lumber, each edge sanded and trimmed with diamond‑tipped knives. Frames will be mounted to the primary supports with galvanized wood screws. Intermediate motifs consist of 2.5 cm (1 in) thick, 10 cm (3.9 in) wide laminated wood strips, also fastened with galvanized screws. Anchorage: Under each support leg a 18 × 13 × 3 mm (0.7 x 0.5 x 0.1 in) flange will receive a 15 × 8 × 2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) weld‑on plate; a 13 × 8 × 3 mm (0.5 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plate will be drilled with two anchor holes, and each 15 × 8 × 2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plate will be drilled for three 6 mm (0.2 in) screw holes. Anchors will be mounted with screws to the supports and to the ground using steel dowels, preventing water contact with the wood and securing the legs. Gazebo anchor plates will be welded on at least two sides, using a minimum 2.5 mm (0.1 in) weld thickness. Six special screws will be installed per leg for the vertical connection, and two dowelled screws per leg for ground attachment.
