It is semi‑permeable, flexible, and highly durable, offering low cost and excellent resistance, which makes it popular in industry. Depending on density and chemical composition, it is classified into various grades. Mechanical properties, molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type influence its performance. While specific characteristics vary, the material generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and superior chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used for slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, and more. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. Wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts exposed to pressure or friction and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barriers and shade structures. Overall dimensional tolerance is ±5 %. Carrier Construction The supporting structure consists of round steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a wall thickness of at least 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed according to TS EN 10219-2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards and welded by high‑frequency welding. Tubes are sandblasted and then coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder finish. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal components are first sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. A fine metal powder is then sprayed using electrostatic charge, followed by curing in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. After forming, components undergo a 10‑minute dip in a 70 °C, 5 % oil‑removal bath, then a 15‑minute dip in a 50 °C, 1 % iron bath, followed by rinsing and drying. Finally, the entire assembly is powder‑coated with a weather‑resistant polyester resin and baked at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. Weld seams are protected by painting the whole product after welding to prevent corrosion.
