It is semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable, offering low cost and high resistance, which makes it popular in industry. Polyethylene grades are classified by density and chemical properties. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by type, the material generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used for slides, stairs, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, and more. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts exposed to pressure or friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barrier or shading components. Thickness tolerance is ±5%. Carrier Construction: The supporting structure consists of steel tubes with a minimum 114 mm (4.5 in) diameter and a minimum 2 mm (0.1 in) wall thickness, formed by cold drawing in accordance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, and welded by high‑frequency welding. Tubes are painted by sandblasting followed by a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating. Electrostatic Powder Coating: All metal parts are first cleaned of oil, dirt, and rust by sandblasting to create a porous surface for better paint adhesion. A fine metal powder is then sprayed onto the prepared surface using electrostatic charging. After coating, the parts are baked in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, the components undergo a degreasing bath at 70 °C for 10 minutes, followed by a phosphating bath at 50 °C for 15 minutes, then rinsing and drying. Finally, the entire assembly is painted in one continuous operation with a durable polyester‑based powder coat and cured in a 180–200 °C oven for 20–30 minutes. All welds are fully covered to prevent corrosion.
