It is semi‑permeable, can be softened, and is highly durable. Its low cost and high resistance make it popular in industry. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into various grades. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching type. Generally, it offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, stairs, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments used for colouring must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. Edge thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barrier or shading components. Dimensional tolerance is ±5 %. Carrier Construction The supporting structure consists of steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed in accordance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, and welded by high‑frequency welding. Tubes are produced within the standard tolerance, size, and cross‑section range. They are then sandblasted and coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal parts are first cleaned of oil, dirt, and rust by sandblasting to create a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel shot is then sprayed to open micro‑pores. After cleaning, the parts are dipped in a 70 °C, 5 % concentration degreasing bath for 10 minutes, followed by a 50 °C, 1 % concentration iron‑pickling bath for 15 minutes. After rinsing and drying, the components are coated with polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Finally, the entire assembled product is painted in a solid coat to prevent corrosion at weld joints.
