It is a semi‑permeable, flexible, and highly durable polymer that is popular in industry because of its low cost and high resistance. Polyethylene is classified into various categories based on density and chemical characteristics. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. While properties vary by grade, overall it offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used to manufacture slides, stairs, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments used for colouring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The wall thickness of the product must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts subjected to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for components used only as barriers or shading. Material distribution must be uniform, and thickness tolerances are ±5 %. Carrier Construction The carrier construction consists of circular‑section steel tubes that are cold‑formed to a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in) (diameter at least 114 mm (4.5 in)) in accordance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, and welded by high‑frequency welding. Tubes are then sandblasted and coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder finish. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal parts are first blasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. A fine‑metallic powder is then sprayed using electrostatic application, followed by curing in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. After fabrication, metal components undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % concentration degreasing bath, then a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1 % concentration iron‑pickling bath, followed by rinsing and drying. Finally, the entire assembly is painted with a durable polyester‑based powder coating and cured at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. Welds are fully coated after welding to prevent corrosion.
