It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and very durable polymer that is popular in industry due to its low cost and high resistance. Polyethylene density and chemical properties determine classification into different categories. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by type, general characteristics include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments used for colouring polyethylene must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. The product wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for components subjected to pressure or friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for parts serving as barriers or shading that are not pressure‑exposed. Material distribution must be even to achieve uniform thickness. Dimensional tolerance is ±5 %. Carrier Construction The carrier construction consists of steel tubes with a circular cross‑section, minimum 114 mm (4.5 in) diameter and at least 2 mm (0.1 in) wall thickness, cold‑formed in accordance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, and welded by high‑frequency welding. Tubes are painted by sandblasting and applying a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal parts are first sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are then sprayed with pressurised air to open pores and clean the surface. After sandblasting, parts are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, the parts undergo a 10‑minute 70 °C dip in a 5 % oil removal bath, followed by a 15‑minute 50 °C dip in a 1 % iron bath, rinsing, and drying. Finally, the entire assembly is painted as a single piece to prevent corrosion at welds, using durable polyester‑based powder coating cured at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes.
