It is a semi‑permeable, moldable, and highly durable polymer that offers low cost and high resistance, making it popular in industry. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into various categories. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Regardless of type, it provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, and more. To prevent color fading, masterbatch dyes used for polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The material thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) where it is subjected to pressure or friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barrier or shade components. Thickness and dimension tolerances are ±5%. Carrier Construction The carrier construction consists of cold‑formed steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), conforming to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, and DIN 2394 standards. The tubes are welded by high‑frequency welding and painted with electrostatic powder coating applied after sandblasting. Electrostatic Powder Coating Process All metal parts are sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adherence. Fine steel beads are sprayed with compressed air to open pores and clean the metal. After manufacturing, the parts are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, the components undergo a degreasing bath at 70 °C for 10 minutes, followed by a phosphate bath at 50 °C for 15 minutes, then rinsing and drying. Finally, the metal parts receive a durable polyester‑based powder coating applied in an outdoor electrostatic system and baked at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. All welds are painted in a continuous coat to prevent corrosion.
