It is semi‑permeable, can be softened, and is highly durable. Thanks to its low cost and high resistance, it is widely preferred in industry. Polyethylene density and chemical properties define its classification into different categories. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. While properties vary by type, general characteristics include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments used for colouring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The material thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts subject to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barrier and shading components. Thickness must be uniform across the product with a tolerance of ±5%. Carrier Construction The carrier structure will be made from steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed according to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, and welded by high‑frequency methods. Tubes will be painted by a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating after sandblasting. Electrostatic Powder Paint Process All metal parts will be sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads will be sprayed with compressed air to open additional pores for paint retention and to clean the metal surfaces. After sandblasting, parts will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and baked at 200‑220 °C for 20 minutes. Following coating, parts will undergo a degreasing bath at 70 °C for 10 minutes (5 % concentration), then a pickling bath at 50 °C for 15 minutes (1 % concentration). After rinsing and drying, the metal components will receive a final powder‑coat bake at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. All welds will be fully covered with a continuous coating to prevent corrosion.
