It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer that is favored in industry due to its low cost and high resistance. Polyethylene density and chemical properties define its classification. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by type, general characteristics include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, stairs, guards, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The product’s edge thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) where the material is exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barrier or shade components not subjected to pressure. Material distribution must be uniform, and thickness tolerance is ±5%. Carrier Construction The carrier construction consists of steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed according to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, and welded by high‑frequency methods. Tubes are painted by sandblasting followed by a polyester‑based electrostatic powder‑coat. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal parts are sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are sprayed with compressed air to open micro‑pores, allowing the paint to adhere. After fabrication, metal components receive a polyester‑based electrostatic coating and are cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, parts undergo a 10‑minute degreasing bath at 70 °C (5% concentration), followed by a 15‑minute phosphating bath at 50 °C (1% concentration). After rinsing and drying, the components are coated with a durable polyester powder paint and baked at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. Weld seams are fully painted after welding to prevent corrosion.
