It is a semi‑permeable, flexible, and highly durable polymer with low cost and high resistance, making it popular in industry. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into several categories. Its mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by grade, common traits include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, stairs, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments used for colouring polyethylene must have a Lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for components exposed to pressure or friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barriers and shade structures. Thickness tolerance is ±5%. Carrier Construction: The load‑bearing structure consists of steel tubes with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed according to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards and welded by high‑frequency welding. Tubes are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder finish applied after sandblasting. Electrostatic Powder Coating: All metal parts are sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a surface profile that improves paint adhesion. A fine steel bead coating is then sprayed using pressurised air to further open pores. After cleaning, parts receive a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coat and are cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, the components undergo a degreasing bath at 70 °C for 10 minutes (5 % solution), followed by a phosphating bath at 50 °C for 15 minutes (1 % solution). After rinsing and drying, the metal parts are finished with a durable polyester powder coating applied in a 180–200 °C oven for 20–30 minutes. Weld seams are fully coated to prevent corrosion.
