It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer offering low cost and high resistance, making it popular in industry. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into several categories. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching type. While properties vary by grade, overall it provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used to manufacture slides, stairs, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The product’s wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for components exposed to pressure or friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for items used solely as barriers or shading. Thickness must be uniform throughout; overall dimensional tolerance is ±5%. Carrier Construction The supporting structure consists of round steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a wall thickness of at least 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed according to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, and welded by high‑frequency welding. Tubes are sandblasted and then coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating. Electrostatic Powder Coating Process All metal parts are first sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. A fine steel‑ball coating is sprayed with pressurised air to open micro‑pores, then the parts are cleaned in a 70 °C, 5% degreasing bath for 10 minutes, followed by a 50 °C, 1% pickling bath for 15 minutes. After rinsing and drying, the parts receive a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coat and are cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Finally, weld seams are fully coated to prevent corrosion.
