It is semi‑permeable, flexible, and highly durable. Its low cost and high resistance make it popular in industry. Based on density and chemical characteristics, polyethylene is classified into various categories. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching type. Though properties vary, the material generally offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, stairs, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The wall thickness of components exposed to pressure or friction must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in); parts that are not load‑bearing (e.g., barriers, shade structures) require a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in). Material distribution should be uniform, and thickness tolerances are ±5%. Carrier Construction The carrier structure consists of circular‑section steel pipes conforming to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards. Pipes are cold‑formed with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), then welded by high‑frequency welding. Pipes are sandblasted and coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint. Electrostatic Powder Coating Process All metal parts are first sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. A fine‑bead coating is sprayed with compressed air to open micro‑pores, then the parts are rinsed in a 70 °C, 5 % degreasing bath for 10 minutes, followed by a 50 °C, 1 % iron bath for 15 minutes. After a final rinse and drying, the parts are coated with polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Weld seams are also painted after welding to ensure full coverage.
