It is semi‑permeable, flexible, and highly durable, offering low cost and high resistance, making it popular in industry. Based on density and chemical properties, it is classified into several categories. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Though properties vary, it generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used for slides, stairs, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments used for colouring polyethylene must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. Minimum wall thickness is 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts exposed to pressure or friction, and 4 mm (0.2 in) for components used only as barriers or shading. Thickness tolerance is ±5%. Carrier Construction The support structure consists of circular‑section steel tubes manufactured to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, cold‑formed with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), welded by high‑frequency welding. Tubes are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder‑coat applied after sandblasting. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal parts are first sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a surface that improves paint adhesion. A fine‑grain powder is then sprayed, and the coated parts are cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. After fabrication, metal components undergo a 10‑minute alkaline cleaning bath at 70 °C (5 % concentration), followed by a 15‑minute acidic dip at 50 °C (1 % concentration). After rinsing and drying, the components receive a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coat and are baked at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. Weld seams are fully coated after welding to prevent corrosion.
