It is semi‑permeable, pliable and highly durable. Its low cost and high resistance make it popular in industry. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into several categories. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure and branching type. While properties vary by type, it generally offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, stairs, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments used for colouring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The product’s wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts subjected to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barriers and shade structures. Thickness tolerance is ±5%. Carrier Construction: Steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a wall thickness of at least 2 mm (0.1 in) are cold‑formed according to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards and welded by high‑frequency welding. The tubes are painted with polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating after sandblasting. Electrostatic Powder Coating: All metal components are sandblasted to remove oil, dirt and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are then sprayed with compressed air to further open pores. After sandblasting, the parts are coated with polyester‑based electrostatic paint and cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. After fabrication, metal parts undergo a degreasing bath at 70 °C for 10 minutes, followed by a 15‑minute phosphating bath at 50 °C. They are then rinsed and dried. Finally, the components are coated with durable polyester powder paint and cured at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. Weld seams are painted in a solid coat to prevent corrosion.
