It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer that is popular in industry because of its low cost and high resistance. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into several categories. Its mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching type. Although properties vary among grades, the material generally offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used to manufacture slides, stairs, guards, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch dyes used for coloring polyethylene must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. The material thickness at points subject to pressure and friction must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in), while non‑load‑bearing barrier and shade components must be at least 4 mm (0.2 in). Material distribution should be uniform, resulting in consistent thickness. Product thickness and dimensional tolerances are ±5 %. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal parts are first cleaned of oil, grime, and rust using sandblasting to create pores that improve paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are then sprayed with compressed air to open additional pores and remove contaminants from the metal surface. After fabrication, metal components receive a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating and are cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, each metal part undergoes a 10‑minute dip in a 70 °C, 5 % degreasing bath, followed by a 15‑minute dip in a 50 °C, 1 % iron‑phosphate bath. After rinsing and drying, the components are coated with a weather‑resistant polyester powder and baked in a 180–200 °C oven for 20–30 minutes. All welds are protected from corrosion by applying the coating to the entire assembled unit after welding.
