It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer that is favored in industry for its low cost and high resistance. Polyethylene is classified by density and chemical properties. Its mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching. While properties vary by grade, it generally offers good resistance to weather and moisture, flexibility, modest mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used to manufacture slides, stairs, guards, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. The material thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts exposed to pressure or friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for components used only as barriers or shading. Thickness must be uniform, with a dimensional tolerance of ±5 %. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal parts are first cleaned by sandblasting to remove oils, grime, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are then shot into the parts with pressurized air to further open pores and eliminate remaining contaminants. After cleaning, the components are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a furnace at 200–220 °C for 20 minutes. Subsequently, the metal parts undergo a degreasing bath at 70 °C for 10 minutes with a 5 % solution, followed by a pickling bath at 50 °C for 15 minutes with a 1 % acid solution. After rinsing and drying, the parts are coated with durable polyester‑based outdoor powder paint and baked at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. All welds are protected from corrosion by applying a final uniform coat after welding.
