It is a semi‑permeable, flexible, and highly durable polymer that is inexpensive and offers excellent resistance, making it popular in industry. Polyethylene grades are classified based on density and chemical characteristics. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. While properties vary by grade, the material generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and superior chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The material’s wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts exposed to pressure or friction, and a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in) for barrier or shading components that are not pressure‑loaded. Thickness must be uniform across the part, with a dimensional tolerance of ±5%. Carrier Construction The carrier structure consists of round‑section steel tubes, cold‑formed to meet TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), welded using high‑frequency welding. Tubes are sand‑blasted and then coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint. Electrostatic Powder Coating Process All metal components are sand‑blasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. A fine‑grain powder is then sprayed onto the prepared metal using a pressurized air system. After coating, the parts are baked in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Following fabrication, metal parts undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % solvent‑based degreasing bath, then a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1 % iron‑based dip, followed by rinsing and drying. Finally, the entire assembly is painted in one continuous operation with a durable polyester‑based powder coating, baked at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. Welded joints are fully coated to prevent corrosion.
