It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer, valued for its low cost and high resistance, making it popular in industry. Polyethylene is classified by density and chemical properties. Its mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by grade, it generally offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The material thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) where it is exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barrier and shading components that are not subjected to pressure. Thickness must be uniform across the product, with a dimensional tolerance of ±5%. Carrier Construction The carrier construction consists of cold‑formed, round‑section steel tubes meeting TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in). These tubes are welded by high‑frequency methods within the standard tolerance ranges for dimensions and cross‑section. The tubes are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint applied in a sandblasted furnace. Electrostatic Powder Paint Process All metal parts are first sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a textured surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are sprayed with compressed air to open micro‑pores and clear contaminants. After cleaning, the parts are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Following fabrication, metal components undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % solvent‑based degreasing bath, then a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1 % iron‑based bath. Final rinsing and drying steps are performed before the entire assembly is painted with a durable polyester powder finish in a 180‑200 °C oven for 20‑30 minutes. Welds are fully covered after welding to prevent corrosion.
