It is a semi‑transparent, softening and highly durable polymer that, thanks to its low cost and high resistance, is widely preferred in industry. Polyethylene is classified into different categories based on density and chemical properties. Its mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching type. While properties vary by grade, general traits include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used to manufacture slides, stairs, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, the masterbatch pigments used to colour polyethylene must have a light fastness value of 6 or higher. The product’s wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) at points subjected to pressure and friction, and a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in) for barrier and shading items that are not pressure‑exposed. Material distribution should be uniform to achieve consistent thickness. Dimensional tolerance for thickness and measurements is ±5 %. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal components will be prepared for painting by removing oil, dirt, and rust using abrasive blasting to create pores for better paint adhesion. Fine steel shot will be propelled with pressurised air to open pores and eliminate contaminants from the metal surface. After fabrication, metal parts will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and then cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, each component will undergo a 10‑minute degreasing dip at 70 °C with a 5 % solution, followed by a 15‑minute phosphating dip at 50 °C with a 1 % solution. After rinsing and drying, the parts will receive a durable polyester‑based powder coating applied outdoors, then baked in a 180‑200 °C oven for 20‑30 minutes. Welding seams will be completely covered after welding to prevent corrosion.
