It is a semi‑transparent, flexible, and highly durable polymer that is favored in industry for its low cost and high resistance. Polyethylene is classified into categories based on density and chemical properties. Its mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by grade, typical attributes include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, and more. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness value of 6 or higher. The material thickness should be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts subjected to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barriers and shading components that are not load‑bearing. Material distribution must be uniform to achieve consistent thickness. Product thickness and dimensional tolerance are ±5%. Electrostatic Powder Coat Process All metal components will be prepared for painting by removing oil, dirt, and rust with a sandblasting process that creates surface pores for better paint adhesion. A fine bead material, pressurized with air, will be sprayed to open pores and clean the metal surfaces. After fabrication, metal parts will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coat and cured in a furnace at 200‑220 °C for 20 minutes. Subsequently, the parts will undergo a 10‑minute dip in a 70 °C, 5 % concentration alkaline cleaning bath, followed by a 15‑minute dip in a 50 °C, 1 % concentration acid bath. After rinsing and drying, the components will be coated with a durable polyester‑based outdoor powder coat and cured in a furnace at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. All welds will be protected from corrosion by applying a final uniform coat after welding is complete.
