It is a semi‑permeable, moldable, and highly durable polymer that, thanks to its low cost and high resistance, is widely favored in industry. Polyethylene is classified into different categories based on density and chemical properties. Its mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. While properties vary by type, general attributes include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used to manufacture slides, steps, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch dyes used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The material’s edge thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) where it is subjected to pressure and friction, and a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in) for barrier or shade components that are not under load. Material distribution must be even to ensure uniform thickness. Product edge thicknesses and dimensional tolerances are ±5%. Electrostatic Powder Coating Process All metal parts will be sandblasted to remove oil, grease, and rust, creating pores that improve paint adhesion. Fine steel beads will be propelled with compressed air to open additional pores for better coating adhesion and to clean off oil, rust, and grime. After manufacturing, metal components are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and then cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, the parts undergo a 10‑minute degreasing bath at 70 °C with a 5% solution, followed by a 15‑minute acid dip at 50 °C with a 1% solution. After rinsing and drying, the components receive a durable polyester‑based outdoor powder coat applied in an electrostatic system and are baked at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. All weld points are protected from corrosion by painting the entire assembly as a single piece after welding.
