Wood sections will be cut with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and wood dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). Required wood characteristics include: - Knots: Each meter may contain up to four solid knots, whose combined diameter will not exceed one quarter of the piece width. No rot, decay, partially fused or broken knots are allowed. - Cracks: No ring cracks. Microscopic cracks (1–2 mm (0-0.1 in)) may be present, as well as pressure‑treated emulsion‑induced head and length cracks within tolerance limits. - Resin pockets: No longer than 10 cm (3.9 in) per meter, maximum one per meter. No dripping or pulling resin, no inner shell, no rot cavities, no insect holes. Manufacturing defects are prohibited; only the specified tolerances apply. - Flexure: Deflection will not exceed 1/50 of the member length. Impact deflection will not exceed 1/100 of the width. - Torsion: No more than 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter of length. - Bending of the grain: Allowed between 1/50 and 1/100 of the member length. - Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth. Primary Supports: Support legs will be fabricated from four pieces of pine lumber, each at least 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in), shaped with diamond‑tipped special knives. The support leg height will be 240 cm (94.5 in). Roof: The roof's supporting slats will be made from 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) wood, with two corners milled for shaping. All fixed connections will use special galvanized wood screws. Lower Panels (Railings): The lower railing height is 75 cm (29.5 in). Railing frames are made from 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) wood, sanded on all sides and edged with diamond‑tipped knives. Frames will be mounted to the primary supports with special galvanized wood screws. Intermediate motifs are made from wood sized 40 × 50 mm (1.6 x 2 in), shaped with diamond‑tipped knives and attached with special galvanized screws. Seating Unit: The seating unit uses four L‑shaped wooden legs, minimum 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in), attached at one end to the support and at the other to the seating slab with special galvanized screws. On the L‑legs, nine wooden slats, minimum 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in), shaped with diamond‑tipped knives, will be mounted with special galvanized screws. Anchoring: A 150 × 150 × 5 mm (5.9 x 5.9 x 0.2 in) flange will be welded on the bottom of each support leg, with a 90 × 70 × 5 mm (3.5 x 2.8 x 0.2 in) gusset welded on top, and a 12 mm (0.5 in) diameter hole drilled. Anchors will be bolted to the legs and to the ground with steel dowels, preventing wood contact with water and securing the legs. Picnic gazebo anchors will be fabricated by welding minimum‑thickness 3 mm (0.1 in) flanges around at least two sides. Six special screws will be inserted per leg for the anchor‑to‑post connection, and two dowel screws per leg for ground attachment. All metal components will be powder‑coated with polyester‑based paint and baked.
