Seating Area: 300 x 300 cm (118 x 118 in) Height: 250 cm (98.4 in) Wood Specifications: The lumber used for manufacturing will be 1st‑grade Yellow Pine (Pinus sylvestris) timber. Wood sections will be cut with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in) and wood dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). The wood material must meet the following criteria: • Knots: Each meter may contain up to four solid knots. Knot diameters will not exceed one‑quarter of the overall piece width. No rot, decay, partially fused or missing knots are permitted. • Cracks: No ring cracks. Microscopic cracks (1‑2 mm (0.1 in)) are acceptable. Pressure‑treated resin cracks may be present within specification tolerances. • Resin pockets: No resin pocket longer than 10 cm (3.9 in) per meter; at most one such pocket per meter. No dripping or pulling resin, no inner bark, no rot cavities, and no insect holes. • Manufacturing defects: None, only deviations within the specified tolerances. • Deflection: Bending will not exceed 1/50 of the member length. Impact marks will not exceed 1/100 of the member width. • Torsion: No more than 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter of length. • Compression: Deflection will be tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the member length. • Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth. Primary Supports: Support legs will be fabricated from six pieces of pine lumber, each at least 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in), machined with diamond‑tipped special knives to create a decorative motif. The support legs will be 240 cm (94.5 in) tall. Roof: The roof’s load‑bearing rafters will be made from 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) timber. Two corners of each rafter will be routed for shaping. Additional decorative rafters, also 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in), will be formed with diamond‑tipped knives. All fixed connections will use special galvanized wood screws. Anchorage: A 150 × 150 × 5 mm (5.9 x 5.9 x 0.2 in) flange will be welded onto the bottom of each support leg, with a 90 × 70 × 5 mm (3.5 x 2.8 x 0.2 in) plate atop it, and a 12 mm (0.5 in) diameter hole will be drilled. The anchors will be bolted to the support legs and secured to the ground with steel dowels, preventing water contact with the wood and providing stable footings. Picnic gazebo anchorage will be fabricated by welding flanged plates around at least two sides of a 3 mm (0.1 in) thick base. Six special screws will be installed on each leg for the anchor connection, and two dowel screws per leg for the ground connection. All metal components will be powder‑coated with a polyester‑based finish and baked.
