Wood Characteristics: - Lumber: 1st‑class yellow pine (Pinus sylvestris). - Wood sections are cut with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), overall dimensions with a tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). - Knots: Up to four solid knots per meter; knot diameters will not exceed one‑quarter of the piece width. No rot, split, partially fused, or fallen knots. - Cracks: No ring cracks; fine hairline cracks (1–2 mm (0-0.1 in)) are permitted. Pressure‑treated cracks may appear within specification tolerances. - Resin pockets: At most one per meter, not exceeding 10 cm (3.9 in) in length. No leaking resin, inner bark, rot cavities, or insect holes. - Manufacturing defects are excluded; only deviations within the stated tolerances are allowed. - Bending: Deflection will not exceed 1/50 of the piece length. - Impact: Impact marks will not exceed 1/100 of the piece width. - Twist: No more than 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter of length. - Deflection tolerance: Between 1/50 and 1/100 of the piece length. - Sanding: All visible surfaces are sanded smooth to remove any splinters. Roof: - The pergola roof’s carrier slats are made from 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) wood. Two corners of each slat are routed for shaping, and decorative slats of the same dimensions are produced with diamond‑tipped special blades. All fixed joints use special galvanized wood screws. Anchoring: - Under each carrier leg, a 150 × 150 × 5 mm (5.9 x 5.9 x 0.2 in) flange with a 90 × 70 × 5 mm (3.5 x 2.8 x 0.2 in) welded plate will be drilled with a 12 mm (0.5 in) hole. Anchors are mounted to the legs with screws and to the ground with steel dowels, preventing wood contact with water and securing the legs. - Picnic gazebo anchors consist of minimum‑3 mm (0.1 in) thick flanged plates welded on at least two sides. Six special screws are installed per leg for the anchor connection, and two dowel screws per leg for ground attachment. - All metal components are finished with a polyester‑based powder coating applied in a baking oven.
