Wood sections will be fabricated with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and overall wood dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). - Knots: Up to four solid knots per meter may be present. The total knot diameter will not exceed one‑quarter of the piece width. No rot, decay, partially fused, or missing knots will be allowed. - Cracks: No ring cracks will be present. Microscopic cracks (1‑2 mm (0.1 in)) may occur. Head and foot cracks caused by pressure‑treated environments are permissible within tolerance limits. - Resin pockets: Each meter may contain one resin pocket not exceeding 10 cm (3.9 in) in length. No dripping, pulling resin, inner shell, rot cavity, or insect holes will be present. - Manufacturing defects are excluded; only deviations within the specified tolerances are allowed. - Bending: Deflection will not exceed 1/50 of the member length. Impact marks will not exceed 1/100 of the member width. - Twist: In any meter length, twist will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in). - Flexural stiffness: Deflection between 1/50 and 1/100 of the member length will be tolerated. - Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth to remove splinters. Main Supports: - Carrier legs will be fabricated from four 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in) pine lumber pieces with diamond‑tipped decorative knives. They will connect the picnic table to the roof on all four sides. Carrier leg height will be 220 cm (86.6 in). Roof: - Roof supporting slats will be made from 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) wood. Two corners of each slat will be milled to shape. The tops of the slats will be screwed with wooden overlay or fiber material. Optionally, the overlay may be covered with an American cedar shingle roofing material. - At the eave board, decorative slats of at least 30 × 130 mm (1.2 x 5.1 in) with diamond‑tipped knives will be mounted to the roof slats using special galvanized screws. - For the roof connection, both ends will be cut at specific angles, and two corner slats of at least 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in), shaped with diamond‑tipped knives, will form the roof connection frame, attaching one end to the carrier and the other to the eave board. All fixed connections will use special galvanized wood screws. Lower Support: - The lower support for the covered picnic table will be made from pine lumber at least 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in) with diamond‑tipped decorative knives. Table slats and bench support slats will be mounted to the lower support slats with special galvanized screws. Seating Unit: - The seating units consist of two opposite pieces with a seat width of 40 cm (15.7 in), length 195 cm (76.8 in), and seat height 45 cm (17.7 in). Each seating unit will use six slats of at least 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in) mounted to the supporting wood with special galvanized screws, and the backrest will use four slats of at least 40 × 90 cm (15.7 x 35.4 in) mounted similarly. Table: - The table measures 80 × 195 cm (31.5 x 76.8 in) and is fabricated from pressure‑treated, diamond‑tipped decorative slats at least 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in). Table legs are 78 cm (30.7 in) high and 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in) thick wood slats. Anchoring: - To the bottom of the carrier legs, an 18 × 13 × 3 mm (0.7 x 0.5 x 0.1 in) flange will be welded with a 15 × 8 × 2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) washer; two 13 × 8 × 3 mm (0.5 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plates will be drilled with anchor holes; each plate will have three 6 mm (0.2 in) screw holes. Anchors will be mounted to the carriers with screws and to the floor with steel dowels. This prevents wood contact with water and secures the carrier legs to the ground. - The gazebo anchors will be fabricated by welding flanges of at least 2.5 mm (0.1 in) thickness around at least two sides of the uprights. Six special screws will be installed per upright for connection to the uprights, and two dowel screws per upright for floor attachment. - All metal components will be powder‑coated with polyester‑based paint and baked.
