It is a semi‑permeable, flexible, and highly durable polymer that is favored in industry for its low cost and high resistance. Polyethylene is classified into various categories based on its density and chemical properties. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching type. General characteristics include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used to manufacture slides, stairs, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness value of 6 or higher. The material thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barrier or shading components not exposed to pressure. Material distribution must be uniform, and overall dimensional tolerance is ±5%. Carrier Construction The carrier consists of steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed in accordance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards and welded by high‑frequency welding. The tubes are produced within standard tolerance, size, and cross‑section ranges and are painted with polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating applied in a furnace after sandblasting. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal components are first sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are then sprayed with compressed air to open microscopic pores and eliminate surface contaminants. After cleaning, the components are coated with polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, the metal parts undergo a 10‑minute wash in a 70 °C, 5 % degreasing bath, followed by a 15‑minute dip in a 50 °C, 1 % iron bath. After rinsing and drying, the entire assembly is painted in one continuous operation to prevent corrosion at weld points. The final coating is applied with durable polyester‑based powder and baked at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes.
