It is a semi‑permeable, soft‑to‑process, highly durable polymer with low cost and high resistance, making it a favorite in industry. Polyethylene grades are classified according to density and chemical properties. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. While properties vary by type, the material generally offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The wall thickness of components exposed to pressure and friction must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in); parts that are not load‑bearing (e.g., barriers, shade structures) require a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in). Material distribution must be uniform, and thickness tolerances are ±5 %. Carrier Construction The carrier structure consists of circular‑section steel tubes produced by cold forming in compliance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in). Tubes are welded by high‑frequency welding and painted with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating applied in a furnace. Electrostatic Powder Coating Process All metal parts are first blasted to remove oil, grime, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. A fine metal‑ball coating material is then sprayed with compressed air to open micro‑pores and clean the metal surface. After blasting, the parts are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and baked at 200‑220 °C for 20 minutes. Following coating, the parts undergo a 10‑minute soak in a 70 °C, 5 % degreasing bath, then a 15‑minute soak in a 50 °C, 1 % iron bath, followed by rinsing and drying. Finally, the entire product is painted in a single coat to prevent corrosion at weld points, with the powder coating cured at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes.
