It is a semi‑permeable, pliable and highly durable polymer, offering low cost and high resistance, making it popular in industry. Polyethylene is classified by density and chemical properties. Its mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure and branching. Although properties vary, it generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used to manufacture slides, stairs, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments used for colouring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The product’s wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) at points exposed to pressure and friction, and a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in) for barriers and shading components not subjected to load. Material distribution must be uniform, and thickness tolerance is ±5 %. Carrier Construction The carrier consists of round steel tubes with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed according to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards and welded by high‑frequency welding. Tubes are coated by sandblasting and then painted with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal parts are sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are sprayed with compressed air to open micro‑pores and clean the metal. After sandblasting, parts are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, parts undergo a 10‑minute dip in a 70 °C, 5 % degreasing bath, followed by a 15‑minute dip in a 50 °C, 1 % iron bath, then rinsed and dried. Finally, the entire assembled product is painted in a single coat and cured at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes to ensure corrosion‑free welds.
