Seating Area: 300 x 400 cm (118 x 157 in) Roof Size: 370 x 470 cm (146 x 185 in) Height: 330 cm (130 in) Wood: 1st class yellow pine Wood Characteristics: The wood material for manufacturing will be 1st class Yellow Pine (Pinus sylvestris) lumber. Wood sections will be fabricated with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in) and wood dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in), as appropriate for the project. Required wood properties include: - Knot: Each meter may contain up to 4 solid knots. Knot diameters will not exceed one‑quarter of the overall piece width. No rotten, defective, partially fused or split knots will be present. - Crack: No ring cracks will be present. Microscopic cracks (1‑2 mm (0.1 in)) are allowed. Pressure‑treated environment may cause head and longitudinal cracks, provided they remain within tolerance limits. - Resin pockets: Length will not exceed 10 cm (3.9 in) per meter, with at most one per meter. No dripping or pulling resin, inner bark, rot cavities, or insect holes will be present. No manufacturing defects except for the defined tolerances. - Flexure: Deflection will not exceed 1/50 of the member length. Impact marks will not exceed 1/100 of the member width. - Torsion: Twist will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter of length. - Slope deflection: Deflection will be tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the member length. - Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth and free of splinters. Wood will be finished with a white lacquer. Main Supports: Support legs will be fabricated from pine lumber at a minimum size of 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in), cut with diamond‑tipped special blades to add a motif. The height of the support legs will be 240 cm (94.5 in). Roof: The load‑bearing roof rafters of the gazebo will be made from 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) wood. Two corners of each rafter will be shaped on a router. The top of the rafters will be secured with wood‑press laminated timber or fiber material and screws. Zipped membranes will be fastened to the siding with wide‑head special nails, followed by the installation of American cedar‑type shingles. The eave board will have 30 × 130 mm (1.2 x 5.1 in) wooden laths, also cut with diamond‑tipped special blades, mounted to the roof rafters with galvanized screws. For the roof connection, eight 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) laths, each end cut at specific angles and shaped with diamond‑tipped blades, will form the roof frame, attaching one end to the main support and the other to the eave board. All fixed connections will use stainless‑steel wood screws. Galvanized wood screws will be used for the main support‑to‑roof connections. Upper Panels: The upper railings are 35 cm (13.8 in) wide. Railing frames are made of 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) wood, sanded on all sides and edged with diamond‑tipped blades. Frames are mounted to the main support with galvanized wood screws. Intermediate motifs are made from wood measuring 40 × 50 mm (1.6 x 2 in) and are installed with galvanized screws to both upper and lower railing frames. Lower Panels (Railing): The lower railing height is 75 cm (29.5 in). Railing frames are 50 × 70 mm (2 x 2.8 in) wood, sanded on all sides and edged with diamond‑tipped blades. Frames are mounted to the main support with galvanized wood screws. Intermediate motifs are made from wood‑press laminated timber and are installed with galvanized screws and a clear specialty wood adhesive. Anchorage: A flange of 18 × 13 × 3 mm (0.7 x 0.5 x 0.1 in) will be welded onto the bottom of each support leg, followed by a 15 × 8 × 2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plate. Two holes for dowels or anchor bolts will be drilled into a 13 × 8 × 3 mm (0.5 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plate, and each plate will receive three 6 mm (0.2 in) screw holes of 15 × 8 × 2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) size. Anchors will be screwed into the underside of the supports and connected to the ground with steel dowels. This prevents water contact with the wood and ensures secure footings for the support legs. Gazebo anchors will be fabricated from flanges of at least 2.5 mm (0.1 in) thickness, wrapped around at least two sides of the vertical members and welded together. Six special screws will be installed per leg for the connection to the vertical members, and two dowel screws per leg for the ground connection. All metal components will be powder‑coated with a polyester‑based finish and baked.
