Wood Specifications: The structure will be built from first‑class yellow pine (Pinus sylvestris) lumber. Wood sections will be cut to a maximum tolerance of ± 2 mm (0.1 in), and overall dimensions to a maximum tolerance of ± 20 mm (0.8 in). Desired wood characteristics include: - Knots: Up to four solid knots may appear per meter, with knot diameters not exceeding one‑quarter of the overall board width. No rotten, split, partially fused, or fallen knots are allowed. - Cracks: No ring‑shaped cracks; hairline cracks up to 1–2 mm (0-0.1 in) are permissible. Pressure‑treated cracks may be present within tolerance limits. - Resin pockets: At most one resin pocket per meter, not exceeding 10 cm (3.9 in) in length. No leaking or pulling resin, inner bark, decay cavities, or insect holes are allowed. - Manufacturing defects are not permitted; only the stated tolerances may apply. - Deflection: Bending will not exceed 1/50 of the member length; impact deflection will not exceed 1/100 of the member width. - Twisting: No more than 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter of length. - Sag: Sag will be tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the member length. - Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth. Main Supports: Ten 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in) pine beams, cut with diamond‑tipped special knives, will serve as carrier legs. The legs will be 240 cm (94.5 in) tall. Roof: Roof carrier slats will be made from 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) lumber, with two corners milled for shape. The slats will be fastened with wood‑press‑laminated panels or fiber material, and optionally covered with an American cedar shingle (often called “American kiremi”). The fascia will be composed of 30 × 130 mm (1.2 x 5.1 in) diamond‑cut boards attached to the roof slats with galvanized wood screws. Roof framing consists of 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) lumber, with a pressure‑laminated under‑layer and additional 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) horizontal carriers spaced every 50 cm (19.7 in). One side of the roof will be extended to provide shade, and the longer side will be fully covered down to the ground with pressure‑laminated panels. All fixed connections will use stainless‑steel wood screws; galvanized wood screws will be used where the main support meets the roof. Lower Panels (Railings): The lower railing height is 75 cm (29.5 in). Railing frames are 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) and 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) lumber, sanded on all sides with diamond‑tipped knives and edge‑finished. Frames will be mounted to the main supports with galvanized wood screws. Intermediate motifs are made from 40 × 50 mm (1.6 x 2 in) diamond‑cut decorative wood, also attached with galvanized screws. Three 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in) wooden posts will be used. Anchoring: Under each carrier leg a flange (18 × 13 × 3 mm (0.7 x 0.5 x 0.1 in)) will be welded to a plate (15 × 8 × 2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in)); two anchor holes will be drilled in a 13 × 8 × 3 mm (0.5 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plate, each plate receiving three 6 mm (0.2 in) screw holes. Anchors will be bolted to the legs and secured to the ground with steel dowels, preventing wood contact with water and ensuring stability. Flange connections will be welded on at least two sides with a 2.5 mm (0.1 in) joint. Six special screws will be installed per leg for the anchor, and two dowel screws per leg for ground connection. All metal components will be powder‑coated with polyester paint in a furnace. Seating group is not included.
