It is semi-permeable, flexible, and highly durable, offering low cost and high resistance, making it popular in industry. Based on density and chemical properties, it is classified into several categories. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary, it generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used in slides, ladders, railings, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The material thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts subjected to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barriers and shade structures. Thickness tolerance is 5 %. Carrier Construction The carrier construction consists of steel tubes with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards and welded by high‑frequency welding. Pipes are painted by sandblasting followed by polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal components are sandblasted to remove oil, grime, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are sprayed with compressed air to open pores and clean the metal surface. After manufacturing, the components are coated with polyester‑based electrostatic paint and cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Then they undergo a degreasing bath at 70 °C for 10 minutes (5 % solution), followed by a 15‑minute iron‑phosphate dip at 50 °C (1 % solution). After rinsing and drying, the parts receive a final polyester powder coat and are baked at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. Welds are protected from corrosion by painting the entire assembly after welding.
