It is a semi‑permeable, softening and highly durable polymer; thanks to its low cost and high resistance it is widely preferred in industry. Polyethylene density and chemical properties are used to classify it into different categories. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure and branching type. Although properties vary by type, general characteristics include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments used to colour polyethylene products must have a light fastness test value of 6 or higher. The product's wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) at points exposed to pressure and friction, and a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in) for components that are not pressure‑exposed, such as barriers and shade structures. Material distribution should be uniform to achieve consistent thickness. Wall‑thickness and dimension tolerances are ±5 %. Carrier Construction The carrier construction consists of steel tubes with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed in accordance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, and welded by high‑frequency welding. Tubes are painted by sandblasting followed by a polyester‑based electrostatic powder‑coat applied in a furnace. Electrostatic Powder‑Coat Process All metal parts are first sandblasted to remove oil, dirt and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are then sprayed with pressurised air to open pores and clean the metal surface. After the metal components are fabricated, they are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in an oven at 200‑220 °C for 20 minutes. After fabrication, metal parts undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % oil‑removal bath, followed by a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1 % iron‑dip bath. They are then rinsed and dried. The entire assembly is finally painted in one coat to prevent corrosion at weld points, using a durable polyester‑based powder coating cured at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes.
