Polyethylene Products Low-density linear polyethylene (LLDPE – Linear Low Density Polyethylene) is a thermoplastic used in various products. It is a semi‑permeable, soft‑able, and very durable polymer that is popular in industry because of its low cost and high resistance. Polyethylene is classified into categories based on density and chemical properties. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by type, general characteristics include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used in the production of slides, stairs, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch dyes used for colouring polyethylene must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. Product wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for areas exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barriers and shading components that are not subject to pressure. Material distribution must be uniform, creating consistent thickness. Product wall thicknesses and dimensional tolerances are ±5 %. Carrier Construction The carrier construction consists of steel tubes with a circular cross‑section, formed by cold shaping to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum 2 mm (0.1 in) wall thickness, welded with high‑frequency welding. Tubes are painted in a polyester‑based electrostatic powder‑coat applied after sandblasting. Electrostatic Powder‑Coat Process All metal parts are sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel shot is sprayed with pressurised air to open pores and clean the metal surface. After fabrication, metal components are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Following fabrication, metal parts are rinsed for 10 minutes in a 70 °C, 5 % oil‑removal bath, then immersed for 15 minutes in a 50 °C, 1 % iron bath. After a final rinse and drying, the material is coated with durable polyester‑based powder paint for outdoor use and cured in a 180‑200 °C oven for 20‑30 minutes. Weld seams are painted as a single coat after welding to prevent corrosion.
