Polyethylene Products Low-density or linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE – Linear Low-Density Polyethylene) is a thermoplastic used in various products. It is a semi-permeable, softable, and highly durable polymer. Thanks to its low cost and high resistance, it is widely favored in industry. Polyethylene is classified into different categories based on density and chemical properties. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by grade, typical characteristics include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used to manufacture slides, stairs, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The wall thickness of load‑bearing components must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) where the material is exposed to pressure or friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barriers and shading elements not subjected to load. Material must be evenly distributed to achieve uniform thickness. Wall‑thickness tolerance is ±5 %. Carrier Construction A carrier structure will be fabricated from cold‑formed steel tubes with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), conforming to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards. Tubes will be welded with high‑frequency welding within standard tolerances, dimensions, and cross‑section ranges. The carrier tubes will be sandblasted and then painted with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal parts will be sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel shot will be propelled with compressed air to open pores and clean the metal. After fabrication, metal components will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic paint and baked at 200–220 °C for 20 minutes. Following coating, parts will undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % concentration degreasing bath, then a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1 % concentration iron‑phosphate bath. After rinsing and drying, the components will receive a final polyester powder coating applied outdoors, then cured in a 180–200 °C oven for 20–30 minutes. Weld areas will be fully painted after welding to prevent corrosion.
