POLYETHYLENE PRODUCTS Low or medium density linear polyethylene (LLDPE – Linear Low Density Polyethylene) is a thermoplastic used in various products. It is a semi‑permeable, softable, and highly durable polymer, and thanks to its low cost and high resistance it is widely preferred in industry. Polyethylene is classified into various categories based on density and chemical properties. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by type, general characteristics include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used in the production of slides, ladders, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading in polyethylene products, the masterbatch pigments used to colour polyethylene must have a “light fastness” test value of 6 or higher. The wall thickness of the product must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) at points exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barrier and shading products not exposed to pressure. The material must be distributed evenly to achieve uniform thickness. Product wall thicknesses and dimensional tolerances are ±5 %. CARRIER CONSTRUCTION It will consist of cold‑formed steel tubes with a circular cross‑section that meet TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, having a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), welded by high‑frequency welding within the standard tolerance, size and cross‑section ranges. These carrier tubes will be sand‑blasted and then painted with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating in a furnace. ELECTROSTATIC POWDER COAT All metal components will be cleaned of oil, dirt, and rust using sandblasting, which creates pores for better paint adhesion. A fine‑bead material inside a pressure‑resistant cabinet will be sprayed with compressed air to open pores for paint adhesion and to remove oil, rust, and dirt from the metal. After manufacturing, all metal parts will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic paint and then cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Following fabrication, each metal part will be rinsed in a 70 °C, 5 % oil‑removal bath for 10 minutes, then immersed for 15 minutes in a 50 °C, 1 % iron bath. After another rinse and drying, the material will be coated with a durable polyester‑based powder paint for outdoor use and baked at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. Welding spots will be completely painted after welding to prevent corrosion.
