Polyethylene Products Low or medium density linear polyethylene (LLDPE – Linear Low Density Polyethylene) is a thermoplastic used in various products. It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer that is favored in industry due to its low cost and high resistance. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into several categories. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching type. While characteristics vary by grade, general traits include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used in the production of slides, stairs, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used to color polyethylene must have a lightfastness test value of 6 or higher. Wall thickness: sections of the product exposed to pressure and friction must have a minimum thickness of 6 mm (0.2 in); components not subjected to pressure, such as barriers and shading elements, require a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in). Material must be evenly distributed to achieve uniform thickness. Product thickness and dimensional tolerances are ±5 %. Carrier Construction A carrier construction will be fabricated from circular steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), conforming to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards. Tubes are cold‑formed, welded by high‑frequency welding, and produced within the dimensional and cross‑section tolerances specified in the standards. The carrier construction is painted by sandblasting the steel tubes followed by a polyester‑based electrostatic powder‑coat. Electrostatic Powder Coat All metal parts will be sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. A fine bead material will be sprayed with compressed air to open pores and clean the metal surface. After manufacturing, metal components are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic paint and baked at 200‑220 °C for 20 minutes. Following coating, parts undergo a degreasing bath at 70 °C for 10 minutes with a 5 % solution, then a phosphating bath at 50 °C for 15 minutes with a 1 % solution. After rinsing and drying, the material receives a durable polyester powder coating applied outdoors, cured in a furnace at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. Weld seams are fully painted after welding to prevent corrosion.
