Polyethylene Products Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) is a thermoplastic used in various applications. It is a semi-permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer. Its low cost and high resistance make it popular in industry. Polyethylene is classified into categories based on density and chemical properties. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching type. While characteristics vary by grade, overall it offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The wall thickness of load‑bearing parts must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) where the material is exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barrier and shading components. Material distribution must be uniform, yielding consistent thickness. Wall thickness and dimensional tolerances are ±5 %. Carrier Construction The carrier construction consists of round‑section steel tubes with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, welded by high‑frequency welding, and produced within the standard tolerance, size, and cross‑section ranges. These tubes are sandblasted and then powder‑coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal components are first cleaned by sandblasting to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel shot is then blown with pressurized air to open pores and eliminate contaminants. After fabrication, the components are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and baked at 200–220 °C for 20 minutes. Following painting, the parts undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % oil‑removal bath, then a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1 % iron bath, followed by rinsing and drying. Finally, the electrostatically coated outdoor parts are painted with durable polyester powder and cured in a 180–200 °C oven for 20–30 minutes. All welds are fully painted after welding to prevent corrosion.
