Polyethylene Products Linear low‑density polyethylene (LLDPE) is a thermoplastic used in many applications. It is a semi‑permeable, easily softened, and highly durable polymer. Its low cost and high resistance make it a popular choice in industry. Polyethylene is classified into various categories based on density and chemical properties. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. While specific properties vary by grade, the material generally offers good outdoor and moisture resistance, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used in the manufacture of slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, and similar items. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. Product wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) in areas exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for parts not subjected to pressure such as barriers and shading components. The material must be evenly distributed to achieve uniform thickness. Dimensional tolerance is ±5 %. Carrier Construction The carrier consists of circular‑section steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in). Tubes are cold‑formed in compliance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards and welded by high‑frequency welding, produced within standard tolerances for dimensions and cross‑section. These tubes are sandblasted and coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint. Electrostatic Powder Coating Process All metal components are sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. A fine shot material is sprayed with pressurized air to open additional pores and clean the metal surface. After fabrication, metal parts are coated with polyester‑based electrostatic paint and baked in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Following production, metal components undergo a 10‑minute degreasing bath at 70 °C with a 5 % solution, then a 15‑minute iron pickling bath at 50 °C with a 1 % solution, followed by rinsing and drying. Finally, the entire product is coated with durable polyester‑based powder paint and cured in a 180‑200 °C oven for 20‑30 minutes. Weld seams are painted in a continuous coat to prevent corrosion.
