The clamp is cold‑formed from 4 mm (0.2 in) thick St‑37 grade black steel sheet to grip a 4‑inch (89 mm) diameter pipe, providing strength and shape retention. Holes with a 9.5 mm (0.4 in) diameter are punched on both sides of the sheet clamp, spaced equally along the axis. The resulting steel clamp is then coated with rubber using a hot‑pressing method. Length: 16 cm (6.3 in). Diameter: ø89. Volume: 0.30 m (11.8 in)³. Weight: 2.0 kg (4.4 lb).
