It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer that is popular in industry due to its low cost and high resistance. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into several categories. Its mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. While specific properties vary, it generally offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, ladders, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The product’s wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for components subjected to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barriers and shade structures. Material distribution must be uniform to achieve consistent thickness. Wall‑thickness tolerances and dimensional deviations are ±5%. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal components will be prepared for coating by sandblasting to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating pores for better paint adhesion. A fine‑ball material will be sprayed with pressurized air to open additional pores and clean the metal surface. After manufacturing, metal parts will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200‑220 °C furnace for 20 minutes. Subsequently, the parts will undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5% concentration oil‑removal bath, followed by a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1% concentration iron bath. After rinsing and drying, the components will receive a durable polyester‑based powder coat applied outdoors and baked at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. All weld seams will be painted in a single coat after welding to prevent corrosion.
