It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer that offers low cost and high resistance, making it popular in industry. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into several categories. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although characteristics vary by grade, it generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and superior chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used in the manufacture of slides, stairs, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. The material thickness should be a minimum of 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts exposed to pressure and friction, and a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in) for barriers and shading elements not subjected to load. Thickness tolerance is ±5%. Electrostatic Powder Coating: All metal parts will be prepared by sandblasting to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel shot will be blown into a pressurized cabin to open micro‑pores and clean the metal surface before coating. After fabrication, metal components will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder, then cured in an oven at 200‑220 °C for 20 minutes. Subsequently, parts will undergo a 10‑minute 70 °C dip in a 5 % degreasing bath, followed by a 15‑minute 50 °C dip in a 1 % iron‑phosphate bath, rinsing, and drying. Finally, the entire assembly will be powder‑coated with a durable polyester‑based finish and baked at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. Welds will be fully coated after welding to prevent corrosion.
