It is a semi‑permeable, soft‑able and highly durable polymer that is favored in industry because of its low cost and high resistance. Polyethylene is classified into categories based on density and chemical properties. Its mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystal structure and branching type. While properties vary by grade, common traits include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used to manufacture slides, ladders, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness value of 6 or higher. The product wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for areas subjected to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barriers and shade structures that are not pressure‑exposed. Material distribution must be uniform to achieve consistent thickness. Wall‑thickness tolerance is ±5%. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal components will be prepared for painting by sandblasting to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel shot will be propelled with compressed air into a pressure‑resistant enclosure to open pores and clean the metal surface. After fabrication, metal parts will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Following fabrication, metal components will undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % degreasing bath, then a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1 % iron‑phosphate bath, followed by rinsing and drying. The entire assembly will be powder‑coated with a durable polyester‑based outdoor coating and cured at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. Weld areas will be protected from corrosion by applying a continuous coating after welding.
