It is a semi-permeable, softening, and highly durable polymer that is favored in industry for its low cost and high resistance. Polyethylene is classified into categories based on density and chemical properties. Its mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by grade, general attributes include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used in the manufacture of slides, stairs, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The product’s wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) in areas subjected to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for components that are not pressure‑loaded, such as barriers and shade structures. Material distribution must be uniform, and thickness tolerance is ±5%. Electrostatic Powder Coating: All metal parts are first cleaned by sandblasting to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating pores for better paint adhesion. A fine bead material is then sprayed with compressed air to open additional pores and eliminate surface contaminants. After manufacturing, metal components receive a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating and are baked in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, parts undergo a 10‑minute dip in a 70 °C bath with a 5% degreasing solution, followed by a 15‑minute dip in a 50 °C bath with a 1% iron solution. After rinsing and drying, the components are coated with a durable polyester‑based outdoor powder finish and cured in a 180–200 °C oven for 20–30 minutes. Weld seams are fully painted after welding to prevent corrosion.
