It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer, favored in industry for its low cost and high resistance. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into several categories. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by grade, general characteristics include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used to manufacture slides, stairs, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. The product wall thickness should be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) where the material is exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barriers and shading components that are not subject to pressure. Material distribution must be uniform to achieve consistent thickness. Product wall thickness and dimensional tolerance are ±5 %. Electrostatic Powder Coating Process All metal components will be prepared for painting by removing oil, dirt, and rust using sandblasting to create pores for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads will be blown onto the surface with compressed air to open pores and eliminate contaminants. After manufacturing, metal parts will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Following fabrication, metal components will be rinsed in a 10‑minute 70 °C bath with 5 % degreaser, then immersed for 15 minutes in a 50 °C bath with 1 % iron solution. After a final rinse and drying, the components will receive a durable polyester‑based outdoor powder coating and be cured in a 180‑200 °C oven for 20‑30 minutes. All welds will be protected from corrosion by painting the entire assembled unit as a single piece after welding.
