It is a semi‑permeable, soften‑able, and highly durable polymer, favored in industry for its low cost and high resistance. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into several categories. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching type. While characteristics vary by type, general attributes include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used in slides, stairs, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. Wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts subjected to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barriers or shade structures not exposed to pressure. Material distribution must be even to achieve uniform thickness. Wall thickness and dimensional tolerances are ±5 %. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal parts will be prepared by sandblasting to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating pores for better paint adhesion. Fine steel shot will be sprayed with compressed air to open pores and clean the surface. After fabrication, metal components will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and baked at 200‑220 °C for 20 minutes. Post‑fabrication, parts will undergo a 10‑minute degreasing bath at 70 °C (5 % concentration), followed by a 15‑minute phosphating bath at 50 °C (1 % concentration). After rinsing and drying, the entire product will be painted in a single coat using durable polyester powder, baked at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. Welded joints will be fully painted after welding to prevent corrosion.
