It is a semi-permeable, easily softened, and highly durable polymer that is favored in industry for its low cost and high resistance. Polyethylene density and chemical properties define its classification into different categories. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by type, overall it offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, modest mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used to manufacture slides, ladders, railings, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness value of 6 or higher. Minimum wall thickness is 6 mm (0.2 in) for components exposed to pressure or friction, and 4 mm (0.2 in) for barriers and shading elements not subjected to load. Material distribution must be uniform to achieve consistent thickness. Dimensional tolerance for wall thickness and measurements is ±5%. Electrostatic Powder Coating: All metal parts will be grit‑blasted to create a porous surface that ensures optimal paint adhesion and removes oil, rust, and grime. Fine steel shot will be sprayed with compressed air to open micro‑cavities for better coating adherence. After manufacturing, metal components will receive a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coat and be cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Following that, they will undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5% degreasing bath, then a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1% iron bath, with subsequent rinsing and drying. The final coating will be applied using durable outdoor polyester powder paint and cured at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. All welds will be fully coated after fabrication to prevent corrosion.
