It is semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable, offering low cost and high resistance, making it popular in industry. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into several categories. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by type, general traits include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used for slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments with a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher are required. The product’s wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) where the material is exposed to pressure or friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for components used solely as barriers or shade structures. Thickness tolerance is ±5%. ELECTROSTATIC POWDER COATING All metal components will be sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating pores for better paint adhesion. Fine steel shot will be sprayed with compressed air to open additional pores and clean the metal surface. After fabrication, metal parts will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, parts will undergo a 10‑minute 70 °C bath with 5% degreasing solution, followed by a 15‑minute 50 °C bath with 1% iron solution, rinsing, and drying. Finally, the entire product will be painted in one coat with a durable polyester powder, baked at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. Weld seams will be protected from corrosion by painting the whole assembly after welding.
