It is semi‑permeable, flexible, and highly durable while offering low cost and excellent resistance, making it popular in industry. Polyethylene grades are classified according to density and chemical properties. Mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching. Regardless of grade, it provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, moderate mechanical strength, and superior chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, ladders, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments used for colouring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The wall thickness of load‑bearing components must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) where the material is subjected to pressure or friction, and a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barriers and shading elements. Material distribution must be uniform, and thickness tolerance is ±5%. Electrostatic Powder Coating Process: All metal parts will be grit‑blasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a textured surface that improves paint adhesion. A fine steel shot will be propelled with compressed air to open micro‑pores for better coating uptake and to clean the metal surface. After fabrication, metal components will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, the parts will undergo a 10‑minute pre‑wash at 70 °C in a 5 % degreasing solution, followed by a 15‑minute dip in a 1 % iron pick‑ling bath at 50 °C. After rinsing and drying, the components will receive a durable polyester‑based outdoor powder coating and will be baked at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. Welds will be entirely painted after welding to prevent corrosion.
